RenewScout Privacy Policy

RenewScout ("the app") is a subscription and free-trial tracker built to help you avoid unwanted renewals. This page explains what information the app collects, how it's used, and your choices.

What we collect

• Account information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and password so you can log in and sync your data across devices. Passwords are stored securely and are never visible to us in plain text.
• Subscription data you enter: The subscriptions, trials, prices, renewal dates, categories, and notes you add are stored so the app can track and remind you about them. This data is entered manually by you — RenewScout never connects to your bank account or card, and never automatically detects charges.
• App diagnostics: We use Firebase Crashlytics to receive crash reports if the app unexpectedly closes, and Firebase Analytics to understand general, anonymized usage patterns (such as which features are used) so we can improve the app. This does not include your subscription content.

How we use this information

Your information is used solely to operate the app: to keep you logged in, sync your subscriptions across your devices, send you reminder notifications you've enabled, and fix bugs. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.

Notifications

If you enable reminders, the app sends local notifications about upcoming renewals and trial end dates directly from your device. These are not sent through a third-party marketing service.

Data storage

Your account and subscription data are stored securely using Supabase, a database provider, with access rules that ensure only you can see your own data.

Your choices

• You can edit or delete any subscription at any time within the app.
• You can permanently delete your account and all associated data from within the app, under Settings → Delete Account. Your data is removed immediately, and your account is fully closed within 30 days.
• You can turn off notifications at any time in your device's Settings.

Children's privacy

RenewScout is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
